LaToya M. Smith Assistant Vice President Recruiter Team Lead Fifth Third Bank Northeastern Ohio
LaToya has been a valuable team member of Fifth Third Bank since August 1999. She has the responsibility for attracting, acquiring, and advancing top diverse talent into the bank. Additionally, she leads a team of Talent Acquisition Consultants in Columbus, Cleveland, and Toledo.
Currently, she is a mentor in the Friend-to-Friend Mentoring Program, where she mentors women who are incarcerated at the Northeast Pre-Release Center. Additionally, she is mentoring students in the LINK Program at Cleveland State University and Cleveland Transfer Connection. She also mentored students that were from The Cleveland Scholarship Program, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and Black Professional Association Charitable Foundation. LaToya is actively involved in the community, such as, EL Barrio Job Readiness Program, Urban League Young Professionals and Girls Scout of America. LaToya has received many professional development accolades from Kaleidoscope Magazine’s Forty/Forty Club, Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, Verizon Everyday Heroes Award and Outstanding LINK Mentor Award.
Additionally, LaToya is the Board Chair of Sankofa Fine Art Plus. She is responsible for being committed to the mission of the organization, serving in the senior board leadership role, and executing the key strategic goals of the organization.
LaToya resides in Macedonia Ohio with her husband Brandon and two beautiful children Bryce and Brielle.
